How can we read movement? This project rethinks ways in which dancers can analyse their movement in relation to sound through the use of notations. Using the theremin as an instrument to approximate and map body movement, the project interprets changes in pitch and volume generated by the instrument. These audio signals are processed through a coded computer system, which visualises the data as simple patterns. This approach bridges movement, sound, and visualisation, offering dancers new tools for understanding and interpreting their physical expressions.
